Blog 5: Shots fired because of female education.

Maybe this is the last time we will meet and I can ask you how are you? So hello, I hope you are feeling very well, now and always <3. In this fifth and last blog I chose to talk about one of the people that I admire. I will tell you about a woman who when she was thirteen years old wrote a blog under the pseudonym Gul Makai for the BBC in which she narrated her life under the regime of the Tehrik e Taliban Pakistan. The Taliban banned education for girls; they had beheaded 13 girls, destroyed more than 5 schools and planted bombs as well.  When the military ended the Taliban tyranny in Swat, one woman used her fame to promote the right to education, she is Malala Yousafzai. On October 9, 2012, she was attacked by a Taliban gunman as she was returning home on a school bus (she was only 15 years old!) in Mingora, Pakistan. The attacker shot her in the head and neck in an assassination attempt, just because she supported education for girls. Did she die? she managed to survive and...

Blog 4: one of my favorite photos :)

Hi! We meet again! How are you? This is one of my favorite pictures of the last time. It's my soccer teammates and friends, after our first competitive game (spoiler, we lost) and behind us many great people supporting us, we were so happy for the opportunity we had been given; that was worth much more than winning. I don't remember specifically who took the picture :( but it had to have been someone wonderful. It was taken at the beginning of September and I love this photo because there was a lot of effort to get there, from each of my teammates and I couldn't be happier about that. See you in the next blog!

Blog 3: My favorite piece of technology :)

Hello again! I hope you are well.   This week technology is the protagonist. A big part of people choose the phone as their favorite piece of technology and I am not far behind. It is my favorite because thanks to the phone I can contact friends and family, that makes me very happy. For example, my grandmother and grandfather have a phone just to call, so having any other technology I wouldn't be able to hear them and know how they are doing. I use it for several things: to communicate, to listen to music and sync it with my speaker (I don't usually use headphones), to take pictures, to set my alarms - which are very important - and to sleep. This object affects in a good way in my life because it helps me to get charged with love for the contact with my loved ones and, beyond everything, I use it for the just and necessary. Would you recommend to use it? Yes, I think it's very useful for certain things, you just have to be careful not to procrastinate because of it. Still,...

Blog 2: Why did you choose this career?

Second blog and here we meet again. How are you? :) It's interesting to talk about the career we chose because it involves so many experiences... I find it great. Here we go: My mom remembers that when I was little, I always played with four situations, operating on whichever stuffed animal I had, making invisible cakes, explaining something to an "audience," and building things with different materials. It's curious how this related so much to the future because when it came time to choose a university career, I considered medicine, teaching, and construction engineering. I could have studied the first option, but my sister, who is studying nursing, told me more or less what the working environment was like in clinics and hospitals, and I asked myself, "Do you want to spend your life in such an environment?". For that reason, I chose teaching. Teaching with love is an incredible gift. My university experience has been very interesting and a constant learnin...
